Holiday Power! 🎄 ...

Holiday Power! 🎄

Why is it when you do without, when you receive again, it’s with a new and deeper appreciation?

That’s how Mr. Mindy and I feel about POWER!!! Windstorm came through Wednesday night and knocked trees and power lines down all over the Hills. We were without electricity, water, and internet/cell for about 2 ½ days! Thank goodness we had a propane fireplace that kept us, and our cabin hOMe, from rocking up with temps in the lower 20’s at night.

Grateful for the crews that have been working non-stop to restore power to the over 11,000 customers without electricity, the delivery persons who still managed to get through with loved one’s treats, plus the offers of help and support.

In a crisis, you sure are reminded about the goodness of people!

During our days without power, we were busy helping load, move, assemble and give community holiday baskets - complete with fixings for a special dinner, plus gift cards and toys. The church where the giveaway was held didn’t have electricity or water either, but Christmas for those in need came anyway 💕 🎁.

So, this holiday season, with our Christmas tree again illuminated, we sigh and murmur our thanks for every lightswitch that works, every faucet that flows, each communication text and the absolute goodness that IS the light of this special season.

Bless you all with Peace, Hope, Faith, Love and Healing! 🕊️ 🙏.
