Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Making a new kid feel at home

--by clarapetersik, posted Mar 1, 2026
There is a boy who recently transferred from Texas to our high school. He seemed really nervous and didn't have many friends due to how late he moved. Me and my friends decided to make him feel at home. we compliment him daily, invite him to sit with us and ask him about his day. well, yesterday for English, there was a project to create art based off the book we were reading. At the end, we had to vote on who's art we liked most. His artwork was AMAZING, and almost the whole class voted for him! He won and got to hang his up on the golden post it. He was smiling the whole class.

I'm always happy to know that the young people of today who will be governing our country in the near future are Loving and Kind. Thank you for who you are and for doing what you do.
