Stories of Kindness from Around the World

12 Days of Kindness

--by twocents, posted Aug 10, 2010

For my third day of the Twelve Days of Valentines Kindness, in honor of my wife, I decided to share a story about how kindness boomerangs back to us, after a request by deepula.

As perhaps another example of this, the kindness I'm doing for my wife may just be having an effect on her.  Her boomerang hit me hard and with lots of love!  She posted four post-its with song lyrics peppered with little hearts on the bathroom mirror yesterday.  One was a Hindi song called “Kabhi Kabhi” with lyrics that translate as follows:

"Every so often my heart feels as though you were made for me.  You used to live somewhere in the heavens.  And you were called to earth for me..."

The other song was “My Song” from Moulin Rouge:

"It's a little bit funny...this feeling inside.  I'm not one of those...who can easily hide.  I don't have much money  :-(  But if I did, I'd buy a simple house...where we both could live  :-)  If I was a sculptor...but then again, no.  Or a woman who makes potions in a traveling show.  I know it’s not much, but it’s the best I can do.
My gift is my song, and this one's for you.  And you can tell everybody this is your song.  It may be quite simple, but now that it’s done...  I hope you don’t mind, I hope you don't mind that I put down in words...how wonderful life is, while you're in my world  :-)"

I’m getting teary-eyed just writing it  :-)

Please share your own boomerang stories!  I just love them.
