A Pay-it-Forward Gesture Makes My Year

--by SamiHearken, posted Mar 13, 2011

I need my car for work, so when my engine "blew up" recently it was a real disaster for me. My insurance would not cover the repair. It looked like not only would I not have a car, but I might lose my job as well!

Then a friend who had heard about the situation, without being asked, sent me a cheque to cover the repair. What made this more amazing was that I had only know her for a few months. In the accompanying letter she explained that when she had been my age someone had helped her out of a difficult situation - now it was her turn. She just hoped that when I was in a position to help someone else, I would pay it forward to them.

It made my day and my year!

Thank you so much, Rose!
