Fruit for the Pregnant Woman Pt. 2

--by hasifa, posted Aug 9, 2011

The pregnant woman I wrote about in my previous story has now become a friend of mine.  Many of you wanted updates on both her and the baby, so this one is for you guys.

As promised, I still have fruit for her every time she goes on her walk. Yesterday she did not come by, so I was worried. I went to her office to take her the fruit, but she was not there. This morning, she came by looking very tired. She said that she had a doctor’s appointment yesterday, which was why she was not at work. As the time for delivery is nearing, it is getting harder and harder for her to sleep at night, so she is tired.

I gave her a banana this morning, and, as always, she seemed to be surprised that it has been almost three months and she still receives fruit from me. I can tell that she appreciates it, and that makes me feel great. What is most rewarding is how she thanks me for thinking of her baby as she rubs her round belly.

Many times she tells me that she does not feel pretty, and I make it a point to tell her that she is beautiful every time. Before she left this morning, she told me that she would love for me to attend her baby shower and gave me an invitation.

I look forward to the baby shower and to keeping you updated on her little bundle of joy. The baby will be here in two months!
