Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Kind Hearts Are Color Blind

--by bbznana, posted Aug 12, 2011

There is an elderly couple in our community who loves to garden. They can't garden for long periods of time because they are unsteady on their feet.

The other day, I was coming back from doing errands and rounded the corner just in time to see the man fall. I knew his wife would never be able to lift him back up again so I stopped and between the two of us we managed to get him up on his feet.

He wasn't hurt but I could tell he was surprised I had stopped to help. Unforunately, I live in the part of the US that still seems to think the color of your skin mattters! And our skins were different colors.

Anyway they needed help, I helped and it made me feel so good inside.

Go on out and put a smile on someone's face. You'll get the reward!

Kudos to you!
