Petting Pets For Therapy

--by imme, posted Dec 24, 2011

I have always loved animals and wanted to share that with others. So, I joined a pet therapy group with my miniature horse. Once she was certified, we went to nursing homes and a hospital rehabilitation center.

The people were entranced with the little horse, wearing sneakers, that came to visit them with the dogs.

There were people who just petted her, some who talked to her, and others who hugged her tight and kissed her.

It has always amazed me at how good animals can make a person feel.
