The Grip Of Love Is Hard To Let Go

--by Bluxess, posted Apr 4, 2012

I was in the bus when a lady, probably in her late 60's, boarded. She sat next to me and, coincidently, we got off at the same stop.

As we were walking, she began complaining of giddiness and thirst. So, I took her to a nearby restaurant, got her sweet lime juice and a snack and she smiled.

Then I accompanied her along her way. She seemed to have wanted a saree but I didn't have one to give her. She also didn't seem to be very happy with her relatives. So, I just told her to forget all that and just relax as we were walking along. I said it with a smile and she actually seemed to brighten in response.

Then she wanted to rest at a temple along the way.

Her friend (another elderly lady) came by and I gave a small amount of money to each of them so they could have a coffee or whatever they liked.

The second lady caught my hand and wished me a lovely life. I tell you, the grip of love was hard to let go! Both of them were smiling when I left.

They made me think of my own mother and I sent her lots of love as well.
