Everytime i ended a conversation with "i love you, dad" he could only say "god bless you". I know he loved me. But for some reason it was so hard for him to say. Finally, several months before he passed away he did say it. Many times, freely. Even more special, he sang a song to me that he wrote. So sweet! Nice memory! Never hold back when it comes to those three words.

ziva wrote: Wonderful story! I love your take on saying those words. Saying "i love you" is just like all the wonderful acts of kindness that mean so much to us and we try to pass on. If we hold ourselves back or hesitate -the chance is often gone and all the joy we feel and want to share is stopped. Ziva
