Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Feeling Good and Helping to Buy Some Food

--by niceirishguy, posted Jul 11, 2013
In a long checkout line at the grocery store, a young woman had only a few food items to purchase. Her debit card kept declining. I could see her embarrassment and I offered to pay for her purchase. Her total was $27.00. She left with her items and she thanked me for my kindness.
The store clerk looked at me like I was crazy, but I didn't care. It felt good being able to help her buy some food.

That was really nice of you :)
