Stories of Kindness from Around the World

End On A Good Note

--by happysoul, posted Aug 17, 2012

One fine afternoon I had walked down to the nearby grocery store. On my way home I found a man sitting alone with a disheartened look in his eyes.

I didn't know what I could do to brighten his day but I knew I needed to do whatever I could. So, I put an arm around his shoulder, patted him, smiled at him, and said, "Things are always meant to end at good note. Everything will be okay!"

I knew that this probably wouldn't be enough, so I was amazed to see him smile back! He said, "You made me believe things will surely be okay. Thanks you!"
