Stories of Kindness from Around the World

A Chocolate-Chip Birthday Cake

--by AURELIA, posted Mar 4, 2013

I work in a small department store. I decided to celebrate my fellow employees birthdays - if they wanted to be remembered!

So, I got them to write down the dates and I try to make sure each one feels special on their special day.

I was going to be away for Renaldo's birthday so I told him I could have someone pick up donuts or a treat on his real birthday or I could make him a chocolate cake when I returned to work. He opted for my home-made chocolate cake!

So, today I brought in a yummy rich chocolate chip cake. It made his day and he couldn't thank me enough.

Home-made goodies are such a nice treat!
