I read folks bashing one another to pieces online in response to a news story and think to myself, "how can we comepletely give up on one another as we have? " if we don't care, it will only get worse. And then i look in the mirror. Someone approaches me that looks like they are on drugs and hurting and i want to back away, smile and move on, thinking. . . I have enough troubles of my own. Hmmmm. I have to keep looking in that mirror, seeing myself for what i am, i could be there next.
