Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Intention

--by Bluxess, posted Jan 3, 2014
A friend from FB posted this note on her wall earlier this year ...

The first five people to comment on this status will receive from me, sometime during 2013, a gift - perhaps a book, a CD or a gift of my choosing - a surprise! There will likely be no warning and it will happen whenever the mood strikes me. The catch? Those five people must make the same offer in their FB status. (and don't forget to PRIVATELY message me your mailing address)

I instantly took to it ...

The first one to respond lives in Canada ... She has an autistic child if I am not wrong ... Had even asked for your feedback on the kinda gift which might be suitable for him. My friend didn't respond beyond a few conversations but was more than happy to gift me something ... I requested a pay-it-forward to a connection at the Caribbean.

The second one to respond lives at Chennai. My hometown. She is in her early twenties. I sent her a couple of necklaces I had from Europe. One of them is special: I got it from a friend then from Sheffield and wore it for my PhD defense evening ... I felt she must receive several such laurels and may this ornament be a talisman. She was quite happy receiving the gifts ...

The third one to respond lives at Hyderabad. She too chose not to respond ... I didn't press beyond but was happy I participated.

The fourth one to respond is the one who posted this on her wall. She lives at Curacao. I decided to connect her to a beloved being from here at HO and gift her a book I am fascinated to. She must be receiving her gift shortly.

The final one was a self-identified person to whom a very loving gift was orchestrated by another beloved being from here.

Thus, kindness got our veins connected from Ahmedabad to Chennai and Hyderabad; Canada to Caribbeans and California to Curacao; and NYC :-D I am not sure of the intention of the others but I certainly enjoyed attempting to all 5 connections who said yes and its such a satisfying journey :-) Yay :-))))) As Goenkaji says, all that matters is intention ...

---

I don't mind continuing the same with 5 folks who responds from here too ... Why not start the k-game again :-)
