Stories of Kindness from Around the World

The Power of Anonymity

--by Anon, posted Apr 25, 2009
This past Friday I received an anonymous gift from someone and I really want to tell the person, whoever it was, thank you sooo much. I have no idea if this person is even on myspace, but I hope that my thanks somehow reaches him or her.

Honestly, not only was the gift amazingly beautiful and touching, but it also reminded me that there are kind people in this world. These past few weeks have been the hardest days of my life and this small gift really gave me a lot of hope for this cruel, violent world. Usually when people give gifts they do it because they want to experience the joy that it brings the other person, the person who gave me my gift did not even get to see that from me and I think that shows what a truly amazing and genuine person this is.

Thanks again, the card was beautifully written and the cookies were delicious, they brought much more than a smile to my face. I also want to tell all my friends that have been here for me these past couple of weeks thank you so much.

You girls and guys have really shown me all the support and love that I have and I really appreciate it. I haven't taken the time to tell you all that I love you and your messages and comments really do bring me comfort. I am truly blessed to have you all in my life! I hope you all learn from Juan and from this experience how important it is to not only live day by day, but breath by breath... you really just never know...

The tagged person lost her love in a senseless tragedy.
