Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Traffic Jam At the County Fair

--by Aurelia, posted Nov 19, 2007
I recently went to the County Fair. Needless to say the traffic getting out was outrageous.

As I was winding my way around towards the exit, I noticed this one car with a huge line of cars behind her trying to edge her way into my line that was flowing nicely. Nobody in front of me even acknowledged her, they didn't want to lose their place in line to get out.

When I came to her I smiled and waved her on in front of me!  I started a chain reaction and noticed behind me that others were letting one car at a time in front of them also!  :)

Easy to do and means so much!

This particular act of kindness reminds me of the TV comemercial titled "Responsibility" by Liberty Mutual, that advocates "paying it forward" with random acts of kindness. Have you watched it?

But then there are people like you - real human beings!
I know which I prefer.
Thank you so much for your kind welcome to the site. I passed your gift on to someone whose faith in kindess may have needed a little boost.
Thank you!

And what you did made others do the same because everyone feels that little sound in their heart saying do it and you can do it. Keep It Up...!!!
