Stories of Kindness from Around the World

A Question to A Four Year Old

--by Ynco, posted Jan 22, 2008
During dinner, we had a 'small talk conversation' when we asked our 4-year-old Lola:  "Lola, who do you love the most?  Mum, Dad, or someone else?"

She promptly replied, "I don't want to make a choice.   I love everybody! Sometimes people do things I do not like, but I like them still."

I'm usually the one to respond very quickly, but I was speechless after this major lesson.

Sometimes there is a great teacher, an avatar, very near me but when I'm not really paying attention, I miss the opportunity for a very precious lesson.

Well, I always say that no matter how person is bad or doing something which makes other think that he/she is bad may be right. But, he/she will still have a little bit kindness and there is no questions about it. So, "Black Spot was White One Day". We should think about people who we are talking to and try to understand their style and how they are living with others. Thank You for adding such a nice story of a lesson. Keep It Up... Also no matter how the child or the one who is giving an opinion. We need to know that he/she has the right to be listened to...!!!

Reminds me of the saying, "Good things come in small packages like diamonds ..."

I truly believe that children are closer to God and the universal wisdom ...they are born pure in heart...but later may become conditioned to society......WE HAVE ALL MUCH TO LEARN FROM EVERYONE BUT ESPECIALLY CHILDREN...I AM JUST BLOWN AWAY BY HER RESPONSE....SHE IS A SPECIAL ONE THAT IS FOR SURE!!!
