Weekend Meals Delivered

Have you ever had one of those thoughts that just won't go away??? Well this last week I had one of those and although my week was going to be very full, I followed through.

I hold a position in my church where a lot of my time is required to give service to others. Usually it is for those who are sick or have had an emergency come up in their lives or their extended family. Well I have had a strong feeling that someone who isn't sick needed that same kind of help- my Bishops wife. She has 5 children of her own, just fostered a teen and found out she is pregnant.

I have personally been trying to get everything done for the week so that I could go out of town- making sure my family is packed, house is clean, meal made for the hubby (he was staying home) church information to right counselor, announcements done for Sunday, groceries shopping done for the members who need it, and work is caught up long enough for me to leave and no contracts fall through, and any other little thing that might come up in the day.

Well that last night I just couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to get meals set up for her. So with some help from some of the ladies we came up with a plan. For at least the weekend, we took care of the meals for the family. I was up late and the meal wasn't 5 star, but it was good, healthy and fed the family. Knocking on the door late made me feel a little bad, but I did call first and make sure someone would be up. The look of gratitude gave me my best nights sleep that week!!! I am grateful for the promptings that makes us realize how easily we can lift the burden of another, and bless our lives at the same time!

Congrats for listening!
