Unconditional Compassion of an Animal Keeper

--by jojomcb, posted Apr 22, 2008

We have been living in a hotel for the past couple of months and this hotel allows pets inside of the rooms.  My son, who is an animal lover, tries to make sure that all of the animals in the hotel are taken care of because this is what he loves to do.

Last night, he noticed that a dog was locked up in a car that was parked at the hotel.  He went to the hotel office to see what he could do to find the owner of the car and of course they could not give out personal information.  So, Michael took it upon himself to stay outside with the dog to make sure it was okay in the car.

The owner saw Michael standing around his car and thought that he was trying to do something wrong, so he called the police on him.  When the police got there, Michael told them that he was worried about the dog because it was left locked up in the car all alone.  The owner said he did not know that the hotel allowed pets in the rooms, which is why he had kept the dog in his car.

The owner apologized to my son and even wanted to pay Michael for looking out for his dog.  Even though he thought Michael was doing wrong at first, he was so very grateful that he cared so much for someone else's pet.  Later on, my son told me that he would have even gone to jail for the dog if they did not believe him because he cared so much and wanted to make sure the dog was taken care of.

Many great leaders have spent time in jail for what they believed in and it has indeed helped to change the world for the better. It does look like you have a leader on your hands, I will pray he will not have to go to jail. PEACE
