Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Low on Money but ...

Well when I first came to this website, I didn't grasp why people were telling about their random acts of kindness. As I got to know some of you better I realized this is a group of very lovely people.
Anyway I dont frequent drive-thrus very often, since my husband is away money is very tight. But this morning after putting $30 dollars worth of gas in my truck on my way to work, I had $13 left and decided I would treat myself to coffee and a sandwich at Dunkin Donuts. When going through the drive-thru all you lovelies came into my head and I decided to pay for the lady behind me. I could see her. I had no idea what she had ordered but I had plenty of gas for the week and I get paid again on Friday, so I handed the girl at the pay window a $10 bill and asked if it was enough to pay for the lady behind me. The girl asked "for the medium?" I answered, "whatever she ordered." The girl asked "does she know?" And I said "no."
So with a big smile she said it's $6.53 all together and when she went to give me my change I said put the change in your tip cup so she put the coin change in the cup and proceeded to hand me the 3 bills and I told her to put it all in the tip cup. She gave me the biggest smile and the biggest thank you!
Funny how a really grey, rainy day in PA can turn into such a beautiful day. It was FUN!

Yep. RAOK, no matter how small are FUN, are addicting and bright joy to BOTH the giver and receiver and ALSO US as you share the stories. They help to keep us movitated, inspire us, provide add'l ideas for us to try and CHEER US UP TOO.

You can see what how everyone's RAOK touches many people!

Keep those RAOk a'coming and keep the sharing those stories.

Smiling Brighteyes ;)
