Stories of Kindness from Around the World

A Wait, A Line, A Gesture

--by happyness15, posted Aug 7, 2008

I received a nice random act of kindness yesterday.  I went across the street to get myself a drink and some dessert for lunch.  There was an older man standing in line waiting to buy some lottery tickets and some other things.  He saw me and how I was dressed and said to the cashier, "Why don't you help this nice young lady first, she looks like she needs to go to work."  I thought it was so sweet and I gave him the biggest smile and told him how much I appreciated it.  It really is the small things in life.  And because of that I want to pass it on even more.

I love the giving more but it's great when I am touched by other's kindnesses as well.

Love the quote- added to my collection.

Great lesson, thanks for sharing
