Stories of Kindness from Around the World

Remember These Moments Often

Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day.  ~Author Unknown

Yesterday was a pretty good day.  After a rough few weeks at work I was driving to a shopping center in town and I wasn't feeling myself. I almost didn't go, but I wanted to buy myself a couple of inspiring and uplifting books from Barnes and Nobles so I went anyway.

On my way there I was driving down this road when all of a sudden I see a full grown Bald Eagle take off from somewhere across the road and fly almost in slow motion across the road and land in a tree on the other side.  I slowed down immediately to take in this breathtaking sight.  I was so moved I had tears in my eyes.  Maybe this was the sign I needed to help me realize that things are going to get better and I'm just going through a rough spot.

Later, as I was leaving Barnes and Nobles, I was driving home and noticed that the sky was SO GORGEOUS (I wish I had my camera).  It was cloudy all around except for this patch of amazingly bright orange with little bits of sun rays peeping through.  How can you look at things like I saw yesterday and not believe in something higher than you are; whether that be mother nature or a higher power?  I'm very blessed (I don't toss that saying around lightly) that I got to experience what I did yesterday and that will be my own random act of kindness to myself -- to remember these moments often!

With our eyes and ears open, much is seen, heard and revealed. Nature is an elixir that soothes our soul if we are aware and appreciate its beauty and also the order/rhythm of the life cycle....just as our lives have ups and down, highs and lows...that's life!

and all that mother nature and the Lord above has made for us to see the beauty in the day even when the day may be a dismal one inside. It brings you back to seeing that all is not lost and there is beauty even in a bad day. thanks for sharing ........

May I add that I too get to witness the sunset (in PA) on my way home from work and my camera in my phone is filled with "sky shots". I love sharing them with people.
Keep up the good work, and I LOVE your bottom line. Thanks! Linda:)
