🌎 We Are The ...

With some encounters you can just feel the loving energy zing right off the page! Such was the brief connection with Lisa, the cashier at Wal-Mart yesterday.

After the usual pleasantries of “how is your day going?,” we slipped into a little deeper conversation and she said, “You know, I think my husband and I should just turn off the news!”

“Good idea!” I said. “It’s just a way to stir up our fears and anxieties. A way of controlling us.”

MisterM nodded in agreement and said, “We’ve turned off the news years ago!”

(MisterM is my news filter. He gathers info from a variety of sources and shares as I ask.)
Paying for our groceries, I added, “We have a choice where to put out attention. We are not a country divided. We all basically want the same things: enough food to eat, a sale place to live and raise our families, to be heard and respected…”

As she gave me our receipt, I gave he
r a Peace dove and Rajni Peace quote card.

Lisa’s eyes teared up and she looked stunned, like she didn’t know what to do. Then she came around from behind the counter and gave me the HUGEST hug.
As we held on tight to each other, I whispered in her ear, “I’ve made and given over 35,000 doves. We are the hope.”
