Kindness Week

I thanked our dear KS friends who showered me with beautiful messages, wishes and lots of KB's on my being selected Community Member Of The Week.

Most of the following kindness were well planned before I came back to India.

Saturday August 26 was a Smiles Filled Kindness Journey.

On August 27th, Sunday Kindness Resumed.

Gave some quote cards, told Fatemah story and intense kindness story to a vendor at Sunday's Organic Market. I also gave her a booklet on Positive Thinking. Bought lots of organic groceries to express my love for mother earth.

We all know that pink Himalayan salt has a natural color, and is not dyed. When buying it, I wittingly asked the vendor, "Did you color it properly? Hope the color won't fade away.” He smiled and nodded no. I bought it.

On Monday August 28th, bought some groceries for needy people. Gave enough money to my friend's wife who is happy to continue buying groceries for needy people for the next two months on my behalf. I am grateful to her.

Gave a nice tip to the barber who gave me a nice haircut.

On August 29th, I visited Utthan - Umang to celebrate Rakshabandhan. I got two Rakhis tied on my hand at Utthan. I received lots of smiles and love from the staff and trainees. We were overjoyed for we met after my four-month USA vacation. I gave two boxes of Golpapdi Sweets that I made using wholewheat flour, jaggery, ghee, shredded almonds, coconut and cardamom powder. To encourage Umang girls, I bought many handkerchiefs and a couple of Veni - a hair ornament.

August 30 was the real Rakshabandhan day. My friend's wife tied Rakhi on my hand. Bought some snacks, soaps, hair oil and other items in place of giving money. Bought some groceries for needy people.

On August 31st, I lent money on Rang De website to expand business for one lady. I love to empower women. I prayed for the success in her business and thanked Rang De for giving me an opportunity to serve. As an act of self-kindness, I visited an Ayurvedic doctor to find foods that are good for me. He also prescribed herbal medicines to improve my health. I also bought herbal detergent and hand soap.

On September 1st, I visited author Shri Ramesh Tanna who is spreading positivity in the world by publishing books in my mother language Gujarati. He has published 600 stories of ordinary people doing some extra ordinary selfless works. He is posting Positive Stories on FaceBook that anyone can read with Google Translate in English.

I bought five sets containing 10 different Positive story books published by Shri Ramesh Tanna.  He will mail the books on my behalf. I am grateful to him

He also delivers lectures and conducts talk shows to spread positivity in the world. He has won hearts of many people and some prestegious awards too..

Gave handkerchiefs to a bank employee.

Cracked jokes with my family doctor and commented wittingly.

On September 2nd, gave some quote cards at the bank,

Donated money to a beautiful organization suggested by Shri Ramesh Tanna.

Kept door open for a bank employee.

Bought food packets for needy children.

Bought more than 50 books with moral stories and positivity to gift.

I am grateful to Sri Sathya Sai Baba for all the opportunities and His help and guidance.

I am also thankful to a KS friend who helped me put this post in perspective.
