I find myself on the receiving end of kindness again. A new friend left me a delicious dinner. Then she bought me a book. Finally she drive me 30 miles to see a new doctor.
My health has again turned on me . I need surgery on my plumbing to counteract gravity
Several tests are needed first. Sigh..

Diwali Gifts

I visited Diwali sale of Utthan with S. Patel the president of PAPAYACARE -an assisted living facility where I live at present. I am grateful to him for the ride. It was my pleasure to meet Utthan and Umang staff, trainees and some friends there.

I gave bunch of birthday cards, quote cards, bookmarks, gift envelopes Mindy's peace doves, a Gujarati booklet and financial help as a Diwali gift among Utthan, Blind People's Association and Vidhyadaan Foundation

Diwali Gifts to institutions be given in advance so they can use it to gift others before Diwali. 

All the lights of the world cannot be compared even to a ray of the inner light of the self. Merge yourself in this light and enjoy the festival of lights - Diwali. —Unknown

Powerful Prayers πŸ™

Just think…our combined prayers encircling the globe sending good thoughts, wishes and positive support - a very good thing.

The power of prayer is not to be underestimated! I read how a man who was having a NDE (near death experience) saw prayers going up to the heavens like fireworks.

That’s how I envision them now, as fireworks, catching the extra attention of the Powers.

I humbly request that you send your "fireworks" a few minutes daily to those in need.

*Today, I exercised and moved my body mindfully in the water with prayers for Down’s Syndrome swimmers being helped by assistants, surgical and medical staff, those suffering and for the Ukraine.

Combining energy with prayer is a powerful way to light up those dark skies!

Milkshakes For My Kids Everyday

I don't know why my photos on here appear sideways. Frustrating.

But oh well you can all still see the drinks I make every afternoon for my boys when they return home from school. I've been doing it since they were young.

They are teenagers now and still appreciate mumma making them ice chocolates 🀎

Drove Almost 300 Miles

Drove almost 300 miles (a little under 500km) to have breakfast at Lviv Croissant's first location here in the States. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely kind and friendly.

I looked at the menu beforehand but completely forgot what I wanted to order because I was so excited to finally be there LOL so I asked the staff what was tasty and said "yes" to the first thing they said.

I brought some of Mindy's Peace Doves for the staff and a bouquet of sunflowers as a gift to the restaurant -- a Ukrainian establishment deserves to have sunflowers brightly shining like the indomitable and unwavering Ukrainian spirit!

The Ukrainian staff helped me practice some of the Ukrainian I have learned and were delighted to take a photo with me and the flag my friend in southern Ukraine sent me :)

Kindness At The Hospital ................

Kindness at the hospital

During my recent visits to the hospital, I talked to the patient seated next to me about positivity, Fatemah story and gave positive thinking story in Gujarati.

I gave large quote cards to the doctor I visited,

I gave quote cards  and sister Mindy's Peace dove to another doctor after talking about positivity, Fatemah story and my quote card project and sister Mindy's Peace Dove project who wanted to have photo with me as attached. I gave another book of Positivity in Gujarati.

I cracked jokes with the hospital staff.

I thanked many hospital staff and doctors for their ourteous services and received many smiles with gratitude and Thank You as well.

I am grateful to Papaya Care nurse and caretaker for accompanying me and helping and taking care of me.

I am grateful to Sri Sathya Sai Baba for all the opportunities sending my way and His help and guidance to manifest them.

A Snack For A Stranger In Need

I was on my way back from picking up my lunch, and saw a man, who looked to be need, sitting on a park bench.

I offered him the Doritos chips from my meal and asked his name (Dale) and gave him mine.

It can be hard to speak to strangers, as there may be a safety element, but most people are just like everyone, looking for kindness and community.

Trying to judge less, as prejudice is harmful.

Distributing Laddu To 50 To 100 People. Great Father 😁

Father purchased 5 kg plus Laddu at Lord Vinayaka Festival. He is distributing this Laddu to colony members and some relatives. This is Lord Vinayaka Prasadam. He is distributing the blessings of lord Vinayaka. I think this will reach 50-100 people. What a great Father!

Neighbor Friend

Neighbor friend whose rescue dog Butchie recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge contacted me to let us know her husband had a minor stroke yesterday afternoon & was in the hospital. She said she was a nervous wreck.

I asked her if she’d like to come over for a glass of wine & a chat.

Her husband is doing well & should be sent home by tomorrow.

She left with dinner for later. Told her she was welcome to stay but she wanted to get back home to be there in case the hospital called.

Shining light for them both πŸ™

Happy September!

Gave home grown vegetables to several people this week.
Made condolence baskets for two friends who lost their parents this week.

Listened to a stranger in a cafe because she needed to talk and get ideas about what to do (she recently retired)---and then it turned out that she knew a faculty member in a different department at my university! She was wearing some sort of brace and alluded to being injured and healing....and after we finished the conversation she said to me "talking to you lessened my physical pain"---wow....I could not believe that! Made my day.

This evening will take banana bread to a neighbor who is hosting a "crafting circle"--will bring projects I'm making for some babies.

We are in the second week of the semester and feeling very happy about connecting with students and colleagues.

Signed up to help with voter turnout! And this weekend two other volunteering gigs plus music rehearsals for community gatherings next month.

Offering Help To A Lost Stranger

Today, I was on my way out for a work break, and I saw an older gentleman in the building lobby.

He asked me if I worked there, so I stopped to try to find out where he wanted to go.

He had an address, which was not our building, but nearby, so I walked/showed him the way over to the address, and tried to find answers for him.

I was able to get a website for him, and told him to get a friend to help him find the right place.

I wish I had more time to help him.

Leaving a few bags of Hippeas on our neighbor-friend’s porch this morning (she told me she buys them when they are on sale)…I added a few extra bags to my Fresh Direct order to gift her…she often drops off snacks on our porch….nice circle of sharing on our block πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

I enjoy this plant-based snack a lot πŸ˜‹

I went outside for buying something. While coming back, I got memories of father repeatedly buying "Masala Vada" and we both used to enjoy it. So, I decided to Surprise father. I bought one plate "Masala Vada" and given to father.

Offered Food To Elderly

An Elderly Woman is shouting in bus stand "Father, Father...". She is holding a glass and requesting for help. I gave some cash and went off. But that cash would suffice only for a cup of tea or some biscuits. I went to hotel. Packaged plate of IDLI. We get 4 pieces of IDLI in one plate. I went back to that needy Elderly Woman and handed out Packaged IDLI Packet which contains 4 IDLIS and chutney.

Healing Blanket

Many years ago Kindspringer Mish offered me a Healing blanket with inspirational words on it when I was in extreme pain and could barely walk. She has inspired me to pay it forward and I bought a healing blanket for the librarian who is off now as she is going through cancer treatments. I will drop it off for coworkers to bring her! Helping The Struggling Woman πŸ™

A woman is struggling in her life. She has two children. Her husband went into other worlds. She needs help. Today my father gave 15 kg of rice to support her. Another person gave 1 kg basmati rice and some money. Third person will pay for food items.

“August 2024: Russia just launched a massive attack on over half of Ukraine. Abandoned animals are cowering in rubble as missiles continue to rain down. Critical infrastructures are being targeted and knocking out power and water to civilians.

Brave volunteers continue to risk their lives to save innocent animals from the front lines. Evacuated animals are arriving daily at Patron Pet Center in Kyiv, where they receive medical attention, and a safe place to rest.


The center is stretched to capacity, caring for 200 animals. The most recent attack left them without power, leaving them to do this critical work in the dark.

They need our help now.

GreaterGood is providing medical care and support for these pets so they can find safety at the Patron Pet Center.“

Neighbourly Kindness

I met a lovely lady yesterday. I was cutting the hedge and she walked by with her beautiful dog. She was going for a walk but we started talking and ended up spending an hour chatting! She told me where she lives and I praised her because I know the house around the corner. I often admire her front garden with her gorgeous flowers. I could tell it was someone who cares. This morning on my walk I went by her house and left her a few kind treats and an invitation to come over for tea on Saturday. Love making new neighbourly friends :-)

Kindness During My Illness

Kindness during my sickness My body suffered some sickness but my mind never gets sickness. Nothing in this world happens without a reason. Adversities are our teachers. It is our duty to accept everything that comes our way like sickness or else as a gift from God. Since July 27, I was not able to use computer due to dizziness, coughing and breathing problem due to partially clogged nosestrill. They were necessary to warn me and save me from future big health problems. Pmeumonitis was detected and eradicated. Without current sickness, I would not have several tests that detected it. Current sickness is a boon to me. I praise and thank Sai Baba for that. With proper testing and timely medical care and love and support of my som who rushed to India from Chicago to help me gain normalcy.
