Sunday Love 💕
❤️ Had fun today with kindness…giving some & receiving some …..
💧 Saw delivery guy heading our way….ran into our kitchen & grabbed a cold drink of water for him just in time to get back as he was about to ring our bell…he handed me the package, I handed him the water…he was so surprised, lol…no words exchanged, just big smiles shared. Loved it!
🫖 Surprised by friend ringing our bell with a big box of assorted tea bags she knows I like. Got to hang out a bit & pet her beautiful dog who loves to be petted & I love petting him ❤️ 🐶
🐶. Dog across our driveway comes out on their back porch and often barks for me to come out…he knows I bring him a dog biscuit…I heard his call today & didn’t disappoint him, lol. He’s the cutest, sweetest dog & looks just like one of our beloved long-gone dogs..I just love him so. ❤️

From Facebook Trooper’s Kindness
From Facebook “I was driving up 75, and saw the trooper in the turnout...checked my speed, oh I'm good. A few minutes later, I see a dog in the ditch by one of the signs for exit 20. She looked bad. I was in the left lane, heading to an appointment, and was torn. I decided I would go back southbound and risk a ticket by going to the turnout. I turned in and the trooper was still there! Yay! He rolled down his window and said "yep! I'm here" to which i told him about the dog and I didn't want a ticket, but if I could help that dog, it was fine by me. He just asked where the dog was and was on his way! I followed and we found her, still there, panting like she was fixing to die. That trooper dumped his jug out and fashioned a water bowl for her. ... Read Full Story >>

Kindness At The Utthan picnic
Kindness at the Utthan Picnic After many years I had been to a picnic in India on July 6, 2024. My very first picnic with more than 100 people and Utthan Family members as well. Three-hour ride each way was very comfortable. Some members were dancing in the bus. It was a very long day. but I did not get tired. My battery was recharged. We started from Utthan by bus at 7.30 a.m. and returned around 9 p. m. I am gratful to Mr. N of Utthan who helped me find rikshaw leading me with care. After reaching “Swarg Maru Gaam” (It mean Heaven is my village), some members got horse ride and bullock cart ride. I abstain, for, I didn’t want to be a part of animal cruelty. Weather was very comfortable. Couple of thunder storms were forecast but what we got was sprincles for a few seconds. I thank Sai ... Read Full Story >>

I ❤️ Our Neighbor Friends
😊 Reasons to smile on our block:
🧶 How cool….another opportunity to give one of my crochets away today….found out neighbor friend was going to a big family gathering for the 4th of July this morning & when she told me one of her relatives who’d be there has a 1 year old baby I was able to wrap up a baby blanket I had made a while ago & give it to her to take with her, after she let me know she’d love it 😊.
This is why I like to have a few crochet “extras” on hand 👍
📕 When I dropped off the blanket she handed me a gift bag with a lovely tin of high quality British tea 🫖
📕 I had given her some books the other day , along with some Yogi Tea bags I like 😊

Narayan Seva With My Friend
Narayan Seva plus My friend SD and his wife helped me perform Narayan Seva - feeding needy people inspired by Sri Sathya Sai Baba. They called and invited some needy people outside supermarket. They even collected most of the items like wheat flour, oil, milk, biscuits, sugar that were needed, in the cart. After paying, they helped me give them to needy people. One more lady came in, I went to supermarket again and bought grocery for her and gave her. I am grateful to them. Some people have helped me financially for my kindness projects. I am grateful to them. I gave some quote cards at the supermarket to employees and a customer. He read the quote card with interest. On his request, I gave him my name and phone number in case he needs more. I gave him a bunch of quote cards and bookmarks. Before going to supermarket, I bought some ... Read Full Story >>

Buying A Boy A Pair Of Shoes
Last month I bought a 15 year old boy some school shoes. He and his friends hang round a shopping mall quite often where they low-level beg for change. They all dropped out of school after covid. I rarely give them change, but I do talk to them. And I give them small jobs sometimes, like cleaning up the sidewalks in exhange for pay. That way they can get food with dignity.
I've been nagging him for two years to try to get back into school. I'd previously told him that if he was serious, I'd help him. After I'd given up that he would put in the effort, he finally surprised me by telling me that he'd enrolled again but they wouldn't allow him without a uniform and black shoes.
I walked with him to the shop immediately and get him a new pair. I haven't seen him on the streets since, so I hope that means he is now attending.
I hardly remember anything I did last month, except those shoes. I'll forget this year of my life too, in time. But probably not the small thing that happened in it - buying a child a pair of schools so that hopefully he can walk towards a better future.

Clean Out
So last week we cleaned out our kitchen and pantry, and we found lots of unexpired foods that we no longer want. So I donated them to a local food pantry yesterday.
I also cleaned out my linen closet, and I donated the extra blankets and sheets to the animal shelter that had put out a call for them.
My son's room was a mess, too. When we reorganized that, I got three boxes full of nice things to donate to charity.
And I still have more cleaning to do.

Kindness At The Toy Store
Kindness At The Toy Store.
This Saturday July 6, I am joining in with Utthan family's picnic for the first time. To have more fun, I was looking for a toy store. After walking for about an hour, I finally found one. I bought some Rings, Balls and Frisbee. as shown in the image. They gave me discount on my request.
I told cashier and an employee about noble work of Utthan - training mentally challenged people to make files, fancy paper bags etc. I talked about Kind Spring also. I told them, Fatemah story - a quote card changed her life, Intense positive thinking story and my experiences thinking positively and getting positive results.
I gave them quote cards, talked about my quote card project.
I also gave them a booklet in Gujarati about positive thinking.
I am grateful to Sri Sathya Sai Baba for all the opportunities sending my way and His help and guidance.to manifest them.

Garden Gifts For Me!
I love being in my garden. This past spring was a different one for me. For a number of reasons, I was not able to work in the garden. It's been looking more than a bit bedraggled and overgrown. I didn't even wander through a garden center to replace plants or to pot some annuals for color. It is now July. The doorbell rang earlier today. It was my sister bearing gifts of plants. A local garden center began their summer clearance sale of annuals.....each plant only $1!!! Her generosity and thoughtfulness filled me with joy and love. Such a happy and unexpected surprise. I am so fortunate to have such a sister!

Donating For The Children's Hospital In Ukraine
Two days ago, Monday 8 July, Russia bombed the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv, Ukraine. Suffering a direct hit, the surgery and oncology departments were completely destroyed. Four children and two adults, including a 30 year old pediatric nephrologist, were killed in the attack.
Within hours United24, the official fundraising platform for the government of Ukraine, started a new fundraiser for the hospital. With an initial goal of $250,000 USD the campaign has far surpassed its own goals, and has now raised over $500,000 USD.
Right after receiving the email about the fundraiser I made a donation. More information can be found here: https://donorbox.org/okhmatdyt
Any donation helps and makes a tremendous impact towards the care of these children. Even sharing the story and creating awareness makes a huge difference.

Blessed Sunday Kindness
Blessed Sunday Kindness I went to Organic Farmer's market to find that they have moved to a new location during monsoon. A couple in the car ahead of me, got new location pamphlet from the security man at the old place. I was thinking positively that couple should give me a ride. After they left, I got the pamphlet for the new location. I saw the new address and gave the pamphlet back so someone can use it. I love mother earth. After they drove 3-4 car lengths they stopped and waited for me. As soon as I reached their car, they offered me the ride. I got in and thanked them. I gave them some quote cards. I also told them that I have given 10-12 thousand quote cards to sister Mindy and she is sending them all over the world and in the USA states as well. I shared intense ... Read Full Story >>

Kindness Extended
It's been nearly two weeks since I've even been on a computer...what a nice break! I've been extended so much kindness over the past couple of weeks! From MindyJourney and Mr. M hosting me...and my sister at their hOMe to being my personal tour guides to my sibs who made the trek from Sioux Falls to Custer with bicycles to travel part of the Mickelson Trail with me. It's been a while since I've done this, but I was able to surprise a couple with an anonymous gift of breakfast while in Custer. I don't know what their reaction was when they received the SmileCard, but doing this filled my heart with joy<3. This, along with seeing that I've been honored with cmotw and I the Pet Shop Boys come to mind...What Have I Done to Deserve This? In fact, nothing. that's just Grace. Being accepted into this community and being able to call you all friends (even if we haven't met in the physical) is reward enough. I bow to you all<3.

Protected A Feathered Friend And Made A Donation
Went on a walk around the neighborhood yesterday before it got too warm for the dog and the baby. As we passed a small tree a Barn Swallow fledgling flew out from the grass and into the road. I walked out into the road to coax it back into the grass. After we circled back and passed that same spot it was still safely in the grass under the watchful eyes of its parents :) Many fledglings are right now figuring it out, and their parents are still watching and teaching their babies, this one just needed a little more encouragement.
Made a donation to Ukraine. Their official fundraising platform, United24, is still looking for their 124 millionth donation. More information about this specific fundraiser can be found here: (https://u24.gov.ua/124_millionth_donor)

Persuading Someone To Quit Chewing Tobacco
Our young community security guard had a habit of chewing Tobacco. My wife persuaded him to quit chewing tobacco as its harmful to his health. She coaxed him that she will order him a box of sweets immediately if he agrees to quitting tobacco. The security guard accepted the challenge gladly and my wife got him a box of sweets. That happened about four months ago. Since then, the security guard has persuaded three other friends of his to quit tobacco. My wife asked him how he managed to stay free of tobacco all these four months he replied "because I gave you a promise I have to stick to it for my life. But madam, i am chewing cardamom sticks in stead and it is healthy, right?"

Perfect Timing 👌🏻
So I had an extra “hug” (prayer shawl), that I crocheted a while ago, that I was waiting for The Universe to let me know who to gift it to. 🧶
I found out that my neighbor-friend was starting a part-time job today, as a companion to a 91 year old woman. I thought , perfect candidate for a “hug” 😊
I just brought it over & my friend will bring it with her when they meet for the first time today. 👌🏻
I’m happy 🥰

Time With A Neighbor
Today I went over to visit an older neighbor, in her 80's, who was in rehab a month ago. We decided to go out for a walk. it was such a nice time. walking slowly as she was using her walker.
She struggles a bit with her family support system and I enjoyed giving her another outlet. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
