Playing for the goodness..

Our team is ready to play the game of kindness. These boys play sports for spreading the message of peace and goodness. They visit to different areas and play sports with the young boys of that area and after match they talk with the boys of opponent team about the importance of friendship, good attitude, kindness and peace. They try to encourage the young boys for sharing kindness in their society.

They also share gifts, fruits and sweets.

💧 Offer Water On A Hot Day

🥵 Hot and very humid day here in NYC today….offered cold drink of water to gal who delivered our mail 💧 ….I saw her a few doors down when I happened to look out &.called out to her….she came back to our door 👍

Told her how her new hairdo was so pretty & how good she looked too ….I’m not shy about letting someone know 😉

She walked away with a smile on her face 😊

Kind Conversations Lead To Friendship?

I made a new friend today, possibly two new friends. The first was a mother with a child in a buggy. I passed her on my way to cross the road and then I realised she was behind me so I checked she wanted to cross. When she nodded, I pressed the button so it was ready as she approached the crossing. She explained she was taking her daughter to the doctor because she was clearly unwell. We chatted until she reached the point where she needed to cross the road to get to the surgery.

I carried on to do my shopping. As I turned into the road which leads to the street my house is on I saw a younger woman pushing a shopper. I'd said hello and good morning to her before but today, I commented on how it was dull. She agreed but also said she was thankful it was cooler. I crossed and told her I was too. We chatted for about five minutes and as I was about to move on, I told her my name was Helen and she said her name was Leanne.

Both encounters helped me feel better about the day.

Give It To God And He Does Help

I got so busy with life, I completely forgot about KindSpring. I have a good story to tell. I needed money for gas. Asked several people, they couldn't help. I said ok God, I give it to you. You know my need. Come lunch time, I looked on my phone. A man I had help two weeks prior with food for him and his dog, sent me back the $20. Exactly the amount I needed. I never expected the money to be given back, I was just helping them. God did it for me. Thanks.

Two young people - one with a post-graduation from a reputed school, another with a good credential are struggling to land a job offer, in different countries. I have referred them to potential companies that might reach out to them. Hoping they will secure a dream job and wishing them a bright career.

Last Night Was The 50th Anniversary

Last night was the 50th Anniversary Homecoming for the volunteers who have helped in the park near me. I was on the committee putting the event together and we had well over 100 folks show up and reminisce about their time being volunteers. I was welcomed and learned a lot as I haven’t even put in a year yet. (This picture was submitted by someone for our slide show.)

Smart Classroom At Government School

Yesterday, I visited the Government Primary School at Murugeshpalya, Bangalore, to interact with the students and inaugurate a digital smart classroom, sponsored by a friend of mine and facilitated by the Innerwheel club. It was an amazing experience. The kids (in grades 1 to 7), were mostly children of migrant laborers from the different states of India and Nepal. On average, the kids could speak 5 different languages, and I was able to speak only three of them. The kids were energetic, enthusiastic, and hungry to learn. The digital smart classroom helps the understaffed government school teachers. A projector with inbuilt speakers, screen, a mouse, a remote, HDMI cable, and a pen drive with pre-loaded state syllabus from class 1 to 10, is provided. Reunited

This is a story of kindness I heard this weekend from my mom. My mom found an old book at a yard sale from the 1800s. It was the story of a church and how it was founded and about its founders. She realized that the church was still standing and active, nearly 200 years later, so she boxed up the book and sent it to the church. She wrote a note with her contact information. About a week later they called and thanked her. They were thrilled, she said. They had never even heard of the book and they said they would treasure it.

Again Kindness Travels With Me

Again Kindness Travels With Me I always try to be helpful to others. I do admire and try my level best to follow Albert Einstein's quote "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." To follow my goal I use positive stories, quote cards and Birthday cards etc.. The night before I left for CA was rainy. There were 30% chances of rain, but I expected the clear weather on the day of my travel - June 19, 2025, from Chicago to Irvine CA. Positivity found its way, giving me a beautiful morning to scatter positivity and kindness during the day. I am grateful to my son for booking my ticket, checking in online, and giving me the ride to the airport. He pre-checked luggage bag and talked to the check in lady at the drop bag counter. 🎁 Ordered a little gift to surprise neighbor-friend with. I had given her daughter, who just moved into a place of her own, , a pretty retro wall art decor tin sign (as a housewarming gift) reading “ please be mindful of the energy you bring into this house” and her Mom (my neighbor) mentioned she really liked it, so I decided to surprise her with one :))

🥚 Today’s Fresh Direct order included 3 dozen eggs….I only ordered one dozen. I was only charged for one & they don’t take back food ,so they told me to keep the 2 extra. I gave away one dozen to our next door neighbor

Kindness from a Stranger

We live in Winnipeg, Canada. This afternoon while cooking, we realized we were short on eggs. So we asked our son to go across the street to Superstore with his dad’s credit card to buy a tray of eggs (30 for $10.22). But when he went to pay, he didn’t know the PIN and couldn’t complete the transaction. Just then, a gentleman who had already finished paying stepped up and covered the cost for him—no questions asked. My son thanked him repeatedly and came home amazed: “How can people be so kind?” My husband and I were touched too. It felt like one of those reading comprehension stories we used to see in textbooks—where a stranger lends a hand at just the right moment—but this time, it really happened. It reminded us of the stories shared on KindSpring, where people write about the small acts of kindness they’ve received from strangers. We’ve decided that next time we go grocery shopping, we’ll pick up a few extra items to donate to the food bank—to pass on the kindness.

❤️ Kindness Comes

📕 🌲 As simple as sitting on a park bench reading a book this morning... ❤️ Kindness comes even when not looking for it….a few passers by shared a good morning, a smile, a small chat when I looked up from my book….connected with park friends I knew, as well as a few passing strangers. All it took was looking up once in a while & making eye contact. 🫶🏽 So easy to share simple kindness. On the way out of the park as I was heading home I passed an elderly Chinese man sitting on a bench…we made eye contact..I said good morning , it’s a nice day to him, using the little Chinese I have learned. Knitted Blanket For Church

The last few days I've been visiting friends in Bath, Somerset. I embroidered a lighthouse for the friend I'm staying with and I made a large knitted blanket for the church. Claire who is a part of the church said to Jo (the church leader) on seeing the blanket 'She really must love us, that's moss stitch and to have made a whole blanket with that stitch, she must love us.' Of course, I do becuase they've always always been so kind to me.

Our New Neighbors….

We are continuing to learn some Chinese so we can communicate with our new next door neighbors who do not speak English.

So far I can say “good morning” & and “it’s a beautiful day” in Chinese. And have used both often when we see each other….they both smile so & we all laugh together.

This morning we learned how to say “happy summer” and “bye for now” in Chinese.
I will say this to them next time we see each other 😊

But always smiles are understood 👌🏻

Kindness Given And Received

I took a slightly different route to do my shopping this morning as I needed to post a letter and the nearest post box is not on my normal route. As I was approaching the alternative entrance to the supermarket I was looking in the window of one of the charity shops. There was a four drawer trolley and I knew it would be ideal for storage of papers and craft items but the shop wasn't open until 9.30.

I decided I would do my shopping and if it wasn't open visit a couple of other shops on my way. By the time I returned it was opening and I went in and looked at it and decided yes, I'll buy it. It was light fortunately as I had to carry it home. On my way, one of the drawers fell out and I hadn't noticed. A very kind man picked it up and gave it to me. He also suggested I should turn it round and then I could keep an eye on the drawers.

So, I helped a charity and a kind man helped me.

Helping Tourists With Directions

It’s tourist season in Vancouver Canada.

I work downtown and often see tourists.

I saw two older people who looked to need directions.

I asked them if they needed directions, and was able to point them in the right direction.

I asked them where they were from, and they said they were from Poland.
