Acts In Motion

ealth and Kindness I went to get my body checkup and required tests. It is kindness to myself. I gave many quote cards, bookmarks and Birthday Quote cards to staff and patients in waiting. Cracked jokes with lab technician and doctor. Talked about the importance of positivity in our life with one young girl waiting for her turn with her parents and gave her name of the books on positivity to read. While waiting, one old lady was going out looking at me. She told me that she will have denture. I asked her, is it Okay if I pay for it? She happily nodded yes. I paid her. She paid me back smile and blessed me. Prayed for wellbeing of the patients. That is what I do daily. I also donated to the institution that provides tests and consultation at very low price. I am

62 Gifts

John turned his life completely around. His story inspires me every week. His heart of service and boundless enthusiasm for learning and helping others touch my heart. I think I am up to 25 gifts (not counting the half-hours with John since March -- I think those should only count once).  I have about ten half done so far and, once done, I'll be over halfway there. A gift to me For my birthday this year, John bought me Rich Roll's coffee table book. I was so touched. We found that we share the love of Rich's podcast. So this week and next on under1000skies, the theme is the Rich Roll podcast and his guests as a special thanks to John.

πŸŽ‚ Celebrate By Giving 😊 .

Learned how to fold $ bills in a variety of origami models as part of our son’s birthday gift. As I hoped, upon opening the gift bag (which I had colored in memory of his beloved cat), minus the glasses, he said, “Wow! I can give these as tips.” Wanting to give, so others can give, always pushes me forward to learn 😊. *Pictured models: dove, Christmas tree, blooming heart, dog, sailboat, butterfly, airplane, ring…the hardest part was gathering enough $1 bills!

🌊 Good Vibes On The Tides 😊

myself on how to fold turtles, sailboats and even chapels - in honor of Chapel of the Dunes, so to give more area appropriate. Will have to revisit how to make dolphins too :). Folks seem to appreciate the extra effort and connection. I have made a few special packets to give to the waitstaff at various restaurants, and of course, a few of the $ bill models (recently learned for our son’s birthday) are popular. Sally, owner of the Gratitude Shop, remembered the Peace Doves and was pleased with my gift of various origami. Always have FUN in her shop, that is brimming with positive vibes. Donated to the Blessing Box outside her business with some socks and foodstuffs for those in need. Enjoying every moment of our vacation and each connection made. Grateful and blessed

63+ Gifts

™‘ Well, I lost track again. I'm doing okay though and should reach my goal before next March 29th (my 64th birthday). So many people here on KS inspired me to do this and it's been great fun. This past week: Created a vid for a friend. Sent a small donation to three light-filled places doing great work (one is our NRHugs in HI). Interviewed JohnnyO today for his memoir. He'll be joining us for the group. Created another "you rock" graphic for my mom. (Attached.) Had a nice conversation with my neighbor about my little garden (tomatoes and herbs so far). He's going to grow beans and we're going to share. Wrote a snail mail letter to a friend and sent three others.

Today started with sharing an awe-inducing article with a bunch of folks, gave away half sandwich and cookie to a homeless man, dropped off clothes donation to Goodwill, sent flowers for someone special's birthday, and took my research student out to lunch to celebrate her graduation!

A Lovely Note

'm giving 64 small gifts this year to celebrate my 64th birthday back in March. This is the third year. I won't detail them monthly anymore. But I wanted to share a lovely exchange with a volunteer named Sharon, who works here in the States for Sister Lucy. After my monthly gift, I got a personal email from Sharon. She thanked me and said my monthly gifts mean a lot. I wrote that I was happy to help and that Sister Lucy was my hero. She wrote that she felt the same. A few more notes were exchanged. It was a joy to share our love for this powerful, beautiful woman who changed so much with love. (And still does.) https://maherashram.org/

'tis The Season :)

arrived, including one that the USPS erroneously sent on a holiday across the UK (glad that one, which was classified as "missing" for several months, finally arrived!). The packages had more warm socks, sweets and treats, several other special requests that otherwise cannot be found in Ukraine, and a box of funfetti cake mix and a tub of sweet, sweet funfetti icing :) his daughter had a birthday recently and the cupcakes and special requests were most welcomed. United24, the official fundraising platform launched by President Zelenskyy, started a new fundraiser for Christmas: their goal of $1,000,000 USD is to purchase generators for schools so the children may study with light and heat (https://u24.gov.ua/bring-light-back). Eternally Grateful

food, company (as I then learned she suffers from depression and has epilepsy). I've tried to be there for her as much as I could, even online while I am abroad. She has 2 relatively young good hearted children who are doing well at school and adore her. I'm now trying to find work for the eldest so he can have a little extra income while he (hopefully) continues his education. His 18 year old birthday was last week so I ordered a meal online and sent it to them to share with the family. They were so happy and grateful! They can't imagine how happy it makes ME!

ongtime friends will be coming over the end of March to help celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday. They are coming with their son (whom we’ve known since he was born) & his just turned 2 daughter. So I ordered this little toddler chair, shown in this picture, so she’ll have a place to sit & they can take it home with them. 🐢 I also have a little stuffed dog to give her. They tell me she loves stuffed animals and she hugs hers & talks to them :))) We have been friends for over 50 years. Looking forward to being together. ❀️
