๐ก Home Day Doโsโฆ.
โ๏ธ ๐ฅต Sunny, hot, staying indoors hydrating & taking it easy Saturday….
๐งถ Putting a border on this crocheted baby blanket I am finishing. Waiting for Universe to direct it to a yet unknown baby :))
๐ Ordered a little gift to surprise neighbor-friend with. I had given her daughter, who just moved into a place of her own, , a pretty retro wall art decor tin sign (as a housewarming gift) reading “ please be mindful of the energy you bring into this house” and her Mom (my neighbor) mentioned she really liked it, so I decided to surprise her with one :))
๐ฅ Today’s Fresh Direct order included 3 dozen eggs….I only ordered one dozen. I was only charged for one & they don’t take back food ,so they told me to keep the 2 extra. I gave away one dozen to our next door neighbor

Knitted Blanket For Church
The last few days I've been visiting friends in Bath, Somerset. I embroidered a lighthouse for the friend I'm staying with and I made a large knitted blanket for the church. Claire who is a part of the church said to Jo (the church leader) on seeing the blanket 'She really must love us, that's moss stitch and to have made a whole blanket with that stitch, she must love us.' Of course, I do becuase they've always always been so kind to me.

Kindness from a Stranger
We live in Winnipeg, Canada. This afternoon while cooking, we realized we were short on eggs. So we asked our son to go across the street to Superstore with his dad’s credit card to buy a tray of eggs (30 for $10.22). But when he went to pay, he didn’t know the PIN and couldn’t complete the transaction. Just then, a gentleman who had already finished paying stepped up and covered the cost for him—no questions asked. My son thanked him repeatedly and came home amazed: “How can people be so kind?” My husband and I were touched too. It felt like one of those reading comprehension stories we used to see in textbooks—where a stranger lends a hand at just the right moment—but this time, it really happened. It reminded us of the stories shared on KindSpring, where people write about the small acts of kindness they’ve received from strangers. We’ve decided that next time we go grocery shopping, we’ll pick up a few extra items to donate to the food bank—to pass on the kindness.

โค๏ธ Kindness Comes
๐ ๐ฒ As simple as sitting on a park bench reading a book this morning... โค๏ธ Kindness comes even when not looking for it….a few passers by shared a good morning, a smile, a small chat when I looked up from my book….connected with park friends I knew, as well as a few passing strangers. All it took was looking up once in a while & making eye contact. ๐ซถ๐ฝ So easy to share simple kindness. On the way out of the park as I was heading home I passed an elderly Chinese man sitting on a bench…we made eye contact..I said good morning , it’s a nice day to him, using the little Chinese I have learned. He lit up and smiled wide ….we both nodded and laughed together. ๐คฃ Oh yes, even before I walked to the park, kindness came when I crossed paths with a sanitation worker who shared his beautiful ... Helping Tourists With Directions
It’s tourist season in Vancouver Canada.
I work downtown and often see tourists.
I saw two older people who looked to need directions.
I asked them if they needed directions, and was able to point them in the right direction.
I asked them where they were from, and they said they were from Poland.

Our New Neighborsโฆ.
We are continuing to learn some Chinese so we can communicate with our new next door neighbors who do not speak English.
So far I can say “good morning” & and “it’s a beautiful day” in Chinese. And have used both often when we see each other….they both smile so & we all laugh together.
This morning we learned how to say “happy summer” and “bye for now” in Chinese.
I will say this to them next time we see each other ๐
But always smiles are understood ๐๐ป

Kindness Given And Received
I took a slightly different route to do my shopping this morning as I needed to post a letter and the nearest post box is not on my normal route. As I was approaching the alternative entrance to the supermarket I was looking in the window of one of the charity shops. There was a four drawer trolley and I knew it would be ideal for storage of papers and craft items but the shop wasn't open until 9.30.
I decided I would do my shopping and if it wasn't open visit a couple of other shops on my way. By the time I returned it was opening and I went in and looked at it and decided yes, I'll buy it. It was light fortunately as I had to carry it home. On my way, one of the drawers fell out and I hadn't noticed. A very kind man picked it up and gave it to me. He also suggested I should turn it round and then I could keep an eye on the drawers.
So, I helped a charity and a kind man helped me.

Supporting The Humanities
In gratitude to the South Dakota Humanities Council for randomly choosing me as a recipient of Free Book Friday, I sent them a donation and a flock of Peace Doves to share.
I was wonderfully surprised when they posted their thanks via a video posted on FaceBook!

I hope to see Stonehenge someday. These are some rocks I painted. I'll try to get more creative and do color and pictures in the future.

Sharing At The Groceries
I hope my smile conveys to others not only my inner light but the loving kindness which I want to share. Today, I've focused some of my thoughts towards the many people who grow, harvest, transport and package all the food that I am able to eat. Funnily enough, my regular supermarket gave me a voucher to buy some cookies - I can't eat them so I put them into my basket and after they'd gone through without any charge to me I put them on the trolley for the Food Bank - I was pleased they'd given me something I could share with others.

Challenging And Rewarding Morning
I had a challenging morning but had to go to the pharmacy to get my medication before it closed until Monday. I was determined not to let my health difficulties stop me from enjoying a short but nice walk through a small local park to get there. I thought that whatever happened (I still tend to get dizzy), there'd be people around and I could ask for help. Slowly but surely .....got what I needed and on my way back took a few photos of the trees and recorded the birds songs that were stunning! It was early morning, a few runners and dog walkers, and 2 lovely ladies wearing hats. They smiled at me and I took the opportunity to return their kindness by telling them how sweet and beautiful they looked with their hats. They were so delighted, you could see their smiles get bigger and bigger, hands touching their hats :-)
I did come back home feeling much better indeed!

Making Connections
Today is a holiday in the UK. I went shopping first thing and had a lovely chat with the lady at the till - it's great to make connections. On my way home a man was outside his house and we had a good chat. After lunch, I was feeling a little unsure and decided to ring the telephone line for older people. I was surprised because I got through straightaway. The phone was answered by Suzanne and we had a great chat - I told her about my knitting projects and she told me how her mother knitted. I'm glad I was able to speak to her!

Walk By My Neighborโs Garden
I often walk by a house in the neighbourhood who has the most beautiful huge display of roses in their front garden, looking spectacular this time of the year. I always wondered who the owners where and how much work they'd have to do to keep them looking neat and tidy. I also always thought how lucky we -neighbours- are to be able to enjoy them. Today I finally had the pleasure of meeting the owner, a man in his mid seventies who loves gardening. I had to stop when I saw hime :-) I told him how I enjoyed walking by his house and thanked him for it. He was so grateful and nice. He did tell me it requires lots of work but he enjoys it, doing little by little as he can. Such a lovely double kind treat on my walk today.

Strength Rock
Strength Rock
“I’ve been carrying this around to give you.” I said, rooting in my purse.
Tammy, the afternoon-off-work grocery clerk smiled at me, patiently waiting.
When I placed the “strength” heart rock in her hand, she closed around it tight and hugged me even harder.
“Oh, how did you know I needed that?”
Spirit knew and moved me to do.
Amping it up? You bet! ๐๏ธ ๐ช

โค๏ธ So Easy To Be Kind
๐ซถ๐ฝ No matter where we might find ourselves, it is so easy to spread kindness….
Yesterday, in our local restaurant we were able to connect with a few kind words with our waitress, complimenting her on her jovial manner & attentive service….she’s a joyful presence there & seems to remember your preferences even if you return there after a long absence. She walks around singing & smiling. We let her know we appreciate her ๐๐ป
As we were leaving she was showing a couple to a table….the man smiled at us & we all engaged in a small chat.filled with good energy shared. I left filled with smiles ๐
As we left I passed the bartender there & smiled at him & told him he makes a good martini ๐ธ….he smiled wide & said thank you!
Simple, easy kindness is always at hand โค๏ธ

Kindness Acknowledged
Kindness acknowledged
Both the parcels reached the destination. I am grateful Dr. D and to Pahel Charitable Trust for giving me opportunities to serve.
Rushit Masrani acknowledged as under.
Thank you so much for the wonderful books, inspiring bookmarks, and generous financial support. This is truly one of the best gifts I’ve received — I deeply love books, and the thoughtful quotations on the bookmarks are truly uplifting and motivating.Your kindness has not only encouraged me but also reignited my spirit.

Kindness Shipped To Masti Ki Pathshala
Kindness Shipped “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” — Mahatma Gandhi “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.” — Muhammad Ali “Helping others is the secret sauce to a happy life.” — Todd Stocker “No one has ever become poor by giving.” — Anne Frank Rushit Masrani had lucrative offers from multinational companies in India and abroad as well but he declined them to serve poor and neglected sector of Dharampur, Gujarat. He works as a full time teacher. He runs many kindness programs. Masti Ki Pathshala - Masti means fun or having a good time ki means of and Pathshala means school. Welcome
Yesterday I welcomed the most delightful Japanese young girls! They are called Yuri & Nairu and they are both studying at a language school in London. They are so grateful for the opportunity to stay here; they love the garden, their rooms, and are grateful that I can also teach them and help them practise. It's so rewarding to spend time with them, they appreciate every little thing I do for them, not realising that they are a blessing to ME. I'd left some of our KS friends kind cards in their rooms and they were so pleasantly surprised :-)
I very much look forward to spending more time with them these next 3 months. I have lots of ideas of things to do and places to take them, starting with our welcoming and charming local garden centre. They can help me pick flowers for the garden as it is now sunny but it had been looking rather English grey :-)))

Creating A Few Humble Arrangements
Creating a few humble arrangements with what I find in the garden for my guests to enjoy. This one is with lots of mint, so I offered them to take as much as they want. I do like my mint teas so they may enjoy it as well.
