Everyone Needs To Know!!!
This is not a story about my kind acts, but a thank you to all you people that do kind acts!! I want to thank you for saving me. I had become so down on humankind that I was seriously considering leaving this world! I had lived over 12 years in a very abusive situation, after escaping from there the courts decides to give the man everything I owned, so I have been homeless for over a year. Where I now live I'm just one step above being these peoples slave, no I should say just half of step. So I hope you can understand my disappointment in the human race!! I was no longer believing that there were any kind humans left in this world. But I guess by the grace of God I found this website, I really needed to hear your stories of kindness!! So thank you, and keep ... Read Full Story >>

Kittens and their rescuer
Two tiny kittens were rescued by a young lady and brought to a rescue group, which gave them to me to raise until they were re ady to be adopted. The young woman wanted to visit them, so I gave her directions to my house. She showed up panting and perspiring. The Lyft driver had dropped her off a mile from my house -- alone, in the dark, in part of town she didn't know! Shocking, eh? I let her visit with the kittens for a few hours. The Lyft driver she called to go home got lost and then canceled the ride. "That's it!" I exclaimed, "I'm driving you home." And I did. ... Read Full Story >>

Sharing The BountyThis Month ...
This month we celebrate Thanksgiving, coming together with friends and family to enjoy the bounty of the harvest season. It is also an excellent time to pause and reflect on the abundance of our lives as well. Our lives are full of love and laughter shared with those we love and we are deeply grateful for the abundance of the light this love gives to us. Do we know of someone who is alone, lonely, that would appreciate a visit, an outing to a coffee shop, a ride to church or a simple phone call to chat and pass the time of day? What stops us from sharing our time with others who are in need of companionship? The seasons are changing and we begin to bring our warmer clothes out of storage. Are our closets crammed full of clothes that we no long wear? We may be saving a few ... Read Full Story >>

Wishing Well-wishes
I am unsure, a little.
There are big things planned, which I'm not sure if things will flow as
We need to find seeds and all required for 600 people to create seedballs (for Daan utsav festival)..
Although I trust things will flow well, sometimes I'm not.
Wishing blessing and well-wishes for the event
to reach people who are really interested and for all that flows to allow this to flow well.
I know this place is meant for small acts of kindness, but I don't know where else I can release this worried part of being. Hoping all goes well.

Unexpected Smiles
The other day I was shopping at a local store and came upon a lady from India squatting on the floor looking for a certain product on the bottom shelf. She sprang up when she saw me as if to get out of my way. Apologetically she explained that she was a cashier at a nearby store and was on her lunch break, trying to get a few needed items before her time was up. I reassured her, "I am in no hurry. Go ahead and do what you need to do. I have plenty of time." While she searched for a particular brand she said that sometimes customers were rude to her at the store and she really appreciated my kindness. I told her that I had noticed cashiers being treated rudely by some people and that those people needed to be more considerate. It is stressful to the cashier when ... Read Full Story >>

Let's Play!
At the community park adjacent to the fish hatchery in Spearfish, SD was this Let’s Play Library — where park users could borrow sport’s equipment!
First one I’ve seen, but soooooo like 😊!!! Already thinking of things to donate...
What a great surprise to find, but love the direction of sharing that is “kicking off” in surrounding communities !!!

Walk AwayThere Are Times ...
There are times in our lives we may feel as if we need to walk away from everything. We are tired of the games that people play and the unnecessary drama. We are tired of trying so hard to work towards the vision of what we want for our life. Life seems to have become too complicated and cluttered.
When we feel this way do we take the time to wonder where these feelings are coming from? Are we holding on to things that no longer matter? It is at these times in our lives that we need reminders that this too shall pass, that we do have jo
y, love and laughter in our lives, we simply have lost sight of it.
There is nothing wrong with taking a step back, assessing our needs, giving ourselves the space we need to see things with clarity. Giving ourselves the gift of time to rest, relax and rejuvenate may be all we need to return to our activities with energy and a new sense of commitment to our best life.

At the Gas Pump Yesterday
Was pumping gas yesterday. Saw this young man with a cool Batman t-shirt. Almost said something to him about the shirt, but he came up on me fast, taking me by surprise. He said he was looking for change for food and asked if I could help. He was right up in my space and I felt like he was being a bit aggressive with his request. So, I told him that I was just paying with my card. He was visibly disappointed that I didn't help and walked away. Another man asked me if the Batman guy had been talking to me. I told him he wanted money for food. He kind of scoffed, and that's when I heard my own voice, "he wanted money for food." Once I heard myself say it, I was able to look passed the space issue and aggressiveness, and hear that he wanted food. After I paid ... Read Full Story >>

🌎 We Are The ...
With some encounters you can just feel the loving energy zing right off the page! Such was the brief connection with Lisa, the cashier at Wal-Mart yesterday. After the usual pleasantries of “how is your day going?,” we slipped into a little deeper conversation and she said, “You know, I think my husband and I should just turn off the news!” “Good idea!” I said. “It’s just a way to stir up our fears and anxieties. A way of controlling us.” MisterM nodded in agreement and said, “We’ve turned off the news years ago!” (MisterM is my news filter. He gathers info from a variety of sources and shares as I ask.) Paying for our groceries, I added, “We have a choice where to put out attention. We are not a country divided. We all basically want the same things: enough food to eat, a sale place to live and raise our families, to be ... Read Full Story >>

And My Journey Continues. ...
I am leaving for Ahmedabad, India tonight Oct 6, reaching Ahmedabad on Oct 8. I do need to activate my Portable WiFi. I may not be able to email till then. Almost six months have passed since I came back from India on April 10/11. Life is taking new turns. I moved to New York from New Jersey. living with a friend cum family. They are very attentive to help and guide, to make my stay very comfortable and enjoyable. I pray Sai Baba to continue to bless them profusely. They are regularly taking part in "Narayana Seva" making food for needy people. Sai Baba is helping me guide my life in His way. I am grateful to Him. A Sai devotee couple willingly accepted all the material and devices like printer and Lamination Machine from me. I am very grateful to them. We shared some "Making Cards for Sai " ideas. ... Food For My Soul
Today I ordered lunch and waited for it to be prepared. An elderly woman made her order after me. As she waited she sat at a table and counted out the coins to pay for her meal. When my order was done, I paid for mine and hers as well. I asked the cashier not to say anything until I left. The woman was unaware and still counting coins when I left. I enjoy honoring the elderly.

DMV Offering
I had to make a trip to the DMV without an appointment. For anyone who has done this in Silicon Valley, you might know the frustration that can be encountered and the time this can take. Well, I got there and there was no line to get a number, but I did have about 25 people in front of me with their own numbers. I sat there patiently, just watching people. A young man had gotten up to the counter and had no cash to pay his fee; yep, they only take cash or check... do people still write checks? :) Anyway, he was explaining his situation to the gentleman next to me. I think he felt comfortable doing this, as they were of the same ethnicity. Alas, he didn't have any cash, either. I had been listening in and, before he had a chance to ask, I thought, "Wouldn't you know ... Read Full Story >>

Most of Us Are Always On
Most of us know someone who is always on. They are available to us to listen and help out any time we need them. They are kind, caring and empathetic. Have we ever considered the cost to them of always being on, physically, mentally and emotionally? They may not feel they deserve to take time for self-care, to turn off the phone, to not be on all the time. They may too be in need of loving care from those around them, but don’t always know how to ask for it. What happens when they become so depleted that they have nothing left to give? Who will take care of them? Always being on is not a healthy way to live, it is exhausting on all levels. It is okay to turn off, to take time for self-care and nurturing. It is okay to say no when asked again to listen, to ... Read Full Story >>

From Harp to Heart
Recently I had the energy, for the first time since my open-heart surgery, to take my harp to the hospice house and play for anyone wanting it. I checked in with the nurses and they gave me a list of rooms. First I played to a sleeping man who would drift into and out of sleep. He smiled once, and several times, with his eyes closed, he reached out towards my harp. He was unresponsive to my voice, but he appreciated the harp. The next room was another sleeper. I played some lullabies as she slept. Two people said no thanks and then I found a lovely elder woman who was awake and alert. She had flowers everywhere and photos of her and her husband in his WW2 military uniform and her as a young bride. She held my hand and talked for some time and was delighted to receive harp music. Playing for ... Read Full Story >>

Cashier Kindness
Going to McDonalds for an iced coffee daily I got to know one of the cashiers really well. I asked her what kind of soap, shampoo and laundry soap that she uses. The next day I brought her a goody basket from my stock pile for her bathroom, shower, kitchen and some personal items for herself.
When I brought it in she asked me what she did to deserve this, I simply said because you are a great person. She had tears in her eyes and thanked me for the kindness.

This Time Of Year ...
This time of year has found us enjoying the late Summer’s bounty. Local markets and generous friends have offered us such gorgeous produce! Photo above is a very small portion of last week’s “harvest”. Most were eaten fresh, right from local fields and gardens. So delicious!
And, after a couple days of work, there are several bags of chilies, tomatoes, and peaches in our freezer. I used the eggplant in Greek moussaka. Enjoyed it with friends and family and froze the leftovers for another time.
So very grateful for Nature’s glorious bounty. So very grateful for local growers and generous friends. Also, very grateful for all the future sharings that this harvest has provided.

Walk With Your Neighbours
One of my neighbours came back after her summer in her home country, she brought me lemons from her garden and sweets. I was really surprised!
She made me so happy, hadn't seen her in over 3 months and here hardly anyone really connects...city life...I invited her for a walk, checked the weather forecast and it showed rain until Saturday but this morning...oh such beautiful sunshine!
So I called her and off we went ... out together and I treated her to a coffee at the garden centre. She's probably almost double my age :-) but so full of energy! SO lovely to share, talked lots, I feel grateful and today...not so lonely. A very KIND day :-)

Bellyful Of Kindness :)
â¤ï¸A friend of our from the park owns this local restaurant. We are very proud of his Kindness focus. I nominate him an Honorary KindSpringer 👠“The streets of Brooklyn can be a very brutal and unforgiving environment for the homeless- especially in times of extreme weather events, and major holidays when most persons are home in a warm, comfortable environment spending time with their loved ones. For the last 10 years, Kemar Blake - the founder of Bellyful Restaurant and Bar in Brooklyn has been involved in a very noble project of feeding the homeless all across Brooklyn. Kemar uses significant personal occasions such as his birthday and major holidays to execute this initiative. In recent years, he has co-opted his young children to use their birthdays as well to engage in building a tradition that will positively impact the lives of some of Brooklyn's most unfortunate for years to come. Beyond our Boundaries
There is a newcomer Syrian family in my community who have lost children and relatives during the war
. I’ve assisted them in many ways and we are now close friends despite the fact that they are Muslims and I am Jewish.
They’ve assisted me in return and we are now like family in kindness and friendship. Indeed, in our small Canadian city we took in many Syrian refugees. Many of us also signed up to learn Arabic.
Although we are all very different, we have respected and honored
those differences through the Canadian philosophy of the individual being important, but within the group. Our group has expanded and enriched all of our lives.

Morning Newspaper Delivery
On the bottom floor of my building lives an elderly active lady.
She makes prayer quilts for others, which have brought safety, comfort, and healing to others. She also made one for me because of my back problems. She saves the tabs of aluminum cans to give to an organization that can earn money from them.
When she walks, she looks like she is in pain. She has severe upper back scoliosis, which makes one shoulder much lower than the other. It hurts me to watch her walk.
In the past, our elevator has been known to stop between floors, so she walks up a flight of stairs. I live by the front door of our building at the entrance. In the morning, I take her newspaper down to her and hang it on her door knob for her.
I don't always do it if I sleep late or have to go somewhere, but it is a little thing I do to help out.
